Waverley Mead Open Space is situated within the town of Guildford. There is, however, a local community which uses the open space in the suburban area on both sides of the Wey river. Its main use is as an open space for walking, running and other outdoor pursuits. Facilities consist of footpath links and picnic tables. This is therefore a very important open space for the local community. There are no third party rights or restrictive covenants affecting this land and it would be a very high profile piece of land should it be nominated. There is scope for improvement as there are large unused areas of lawn which would lend themselves to the creation of facilities such as a trim trail for active recreation. Access is fully available to the public at all times from all points of the compass. Disabled access is possible by tarmac footpath.
