Abingdon Road Recreational Ground on the West side of Corby. It is a very large open space and provides two adult and two junior playing pitches, changing rooms, car park and play area on 5.9 hectares. The recreation Ground and playing fields are owned and maintained by Corby Borough Council. The recreational space was developed as part of the new town in the 1960's and have remained an area  fro recreation use ever since.

The playing fields are not fenced and are open to all residents and visitors to use. They are predominantly used for informal and formal football games, but are also popular for walking, jogging and general being played on by children. The Abington recreation fields are used for special events such as the Spring Fun Fair.
