Recreation ground, in the centre of a village, adjacent to cricket ground, school and church and bordered on the north side by the River Granta. It includes an area with children's play equipment and a Multi-User Games Area with tennis and netball equipment. It is used by the Abington Football club, who help to maintain and improve their pitch. An outdoor gym is being considered. The ground is managed by a committee comprising representatives of the two parish councils, Great and Little Abington, in which it lies, together with representatives of the users. It is currently owned by South Cambs District council but we are investigating transfer of ownership to a parish council. Access is currently via the school or cricket field and there is a possibility of access via a farm track, also used by the church. Disabled access is possible.
