Alan Douglas Park is located in one of the regeneration areas of Aberdeen and is in an area identified in the Greenspace Audit for the City as one of the areas where the quality of the accessible greenspace was poor.  The local community have been active in raising funds to enhance and improve this site and it has been renamed as a memorial to Lance Corporal Allan Douglas who died serving in Iraq in January 2006. He had lived in this part of Aberdeen.

The Park includes a multigoal area, play equipment and a skateboard/BMX facility as well as open grass areas for informal games and sports use.
