Tarragon Drive Open Space is situated within the Stoughton Ward within the town of Guildford. Its main use is as an open space which has been used by the local community for informal and structured play. It contains a MUGA and playground. This is therefore a very important open space for the local community. The Local authority has full legal and beneficial title and ownership to and the property is free from all third party rights. Planning officers have been consulted and have indicated that there no planning issues which would make the site ineligible for inclusion in the challenge. There is scope for improvement as the playground needs refurbishment, which the Council may be willing to contribute towards. There are large unused areas of lawn which would lend themselves to the creation of facilities such as a sports pitch for active recreation. Access is available to the public at all times from Tarragon Drive to the north and Worplesdon Road to the west.
